The first major national padel exhibition is getting closer. From Friday, January 13, to Sunday, January 15, Padel Trend Expo arrives at Allianz MiCo in Milan: three days dedicated entirely to padel, featuring 90 industry exhibitors, plus clinics, exhibitions, tests, tournaments, and many distinguished guests. Among them will be champions such as Martin Di Nenno, Veronica Virseda, and Mati Diaz; leading figures from the Italian padel scene, including Carolina Orsi, Marco Cassetta, Emily Stellato, and Marcelo Capitani; as well as Marcela Ferrari, head coach of the Italian women’s national team, Martin Echagaray, one of the world’s leading padel experts, and familiar faces from the worlds of sport and entertainment, all ready to take to the courts. Indeed, six courts from six different companies have been set up across an area of 18,000 square metres, with approximately 180 hours of play scheduled in total, as the sport of the moment celebrates one of the most important events since its explosion in popularity in Italy.

For those who already know and play the sport, this will be an opportunity to strengthen their growing passion, meet new people, and establish new contacts. However, dedicated areas will also be available for those who have never picked up a padel racket, particularly thanks to the close collaboration with the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, the event’s strategic partner. Throughout the three days of the event, the FITP will have exclusive use of Court 1 and will also make appearances on three other courts, offering approximately 40 hours of promotional activities of various kinds in total.

The first day, Friday, January 13, will be devoted entirely to demonstrations and practice sessions, starting in the morning. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Courts 1 and 6 at the exhibition venue will welcome primary, middle, and high school students. Coaches will help them take their first steps into the world of padel by explaining and demonstrating the game’s basic shots. In the afternoon, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the sessions will be reserved for recognised padel schools, with technical and tactical training exercises for children who have already mastered the fundamentals of the sport.

On Saturday, January 14, also on Court 1, the day will begin with the final stages of a competition belonging to the FIP-TPRA circuit, giving numerous amateur players the opportunity to compete from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in a truly unique setting. Meanwhile, on Courts 2 and 3, from 11 a.m. to noon, under-18 athletes from the FITP technical programme will take part in a training session supervised by a national-level coach. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the same young athletes will move to Court 1 for an exhibition match, while from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., everyone will have the opportunity to play with some of the best coaches, provided they book a slot at the FITP stand.

On Sunday, January 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., coaches will be available on Court 1 to help anyone interested take their first steps into the world of padel. Meanwhile, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., everyone will be allowed to play, subject to booking at the FITP stand. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the under-18 athletes from the national technical programme will once again take part in an exhibition (having trained on Court 3 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. that morning). To close the day, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., another hour of promotional activities will give visitors the opportunity to play with FITP instructors.
